”You mean I have to wait?” Jenna mumbled with a look of disbelief on her face. With a sigh that sounded more like a groan, she leaned on the counter for support and stared blankly into space for a few moments. After a while, she found herself growing bored and impatient. Though only five minutes (if even) had passed, the morph felt ready to get a move on. She wanted her pokemon back quickly so she could get to bed and head off to route two.
”I suppose I’ll go buy those eggs while I wait…” she decided at last, standing up straight. One look at the stairs that lead to the mart made her clench her teeth. Those looked painful and tiring! Reluctantly, she plodded toward the steps and forced herself up them. Resisting the urge to collapse at the top, the morph made her way to the clerk’s desk. She couldn’t see the eggs anywhere, but then again, her vision was probably failing from lack of sleep. After a couple of seconds, though, she did spot a sign with all of the prices listed on it. Each egg would cost three hundred KP… Not bad.
”Could I get two pokemon eggs?” Jenna asked the clerk, setting the money down on the counter.

Before leaving the room, the woman sighed, nodding her head.
"Yes. Unfortunately. We're going to replace your Squirtle's shell."
Upstairs, the other woman behind the counter took the money. Nothing said, she left her counter to retreive two randomly selected eggs for Jenna, and when she returned, she placed them both on the counter with caution.

Jenna has only nodded absently when the nurse told her about having to replace Squirt’s shell, not really paying attention. Now, as she thanked the clerk and carefully lifted the two eggs into her cushiony shoulder bag, the words replayed in her head. Something clicked. The morph’s eyes widened and she suddenly felt wide awake. Oh, no! How could her Squirtle have gotten so hurt one day into their journey? Concerned, she ran down the steps and nearly tripped. In fact, she stumbled as she jumped the last step, landing awkwardly on her bad leg. She fell face first to the ground, but quickly pulled herself up again and hurried to the desk.
”Wait a second, you have to replace his entire shell?!” cried Jenna, slamming her hands on the counter. It took her a second to realize that the nurse had already disappeared into the back room. ”It wasn’t that bad of a crack! … Was it?”
Great, now I feel like a bad trainer, she thought with a groan, resting her chin on the countertop. Not even twenty-four hours of being with Squirt and I’ve already got him beat up so much that they have to replace his shell! At this rate, we’ll all be dead before we reach the first gym…

Seven minutes pass. The woman returned with all of Jenna's Pokemon. Placing two Pokeballs down on the counter, she smiled at the Houndoom 'morph. "Don't worry, miss. Your Pokemon are just fine now! Your Squirtle has a new shell, please be more careful next time. Fortunately for you, I've seen much, much worse damage on a Squirtle's shell than this one, but even then we had to replace it."

Denkou heard footsteps come near him, but he didn't bother to lift his head. Ah, it was probably just the clerk letting him know that his Pokemon were healed. However, the person sat beside him, giving a bit of distance. When Kyandesu spoke, Denkou's head shot up, and he glanced over at the teen girl, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. Oh good, she hadn't run off! While Denkou's eyes were opened, he decided to visually check if his Pokemon were healed. Nope, they were still sitting in the place he had first found them in. He sighed, then looked back over at Kyandesu.
So, she got rooms for them, eh? That was a releif! He had forgotten to ask if he could get a room, so he glad that Kyandesu took care of that. Really, the thought of him sleeping on a cold ground made him shudder. He'd probably have to do that someday though.
She had also mentioned eggs, and Denkou shot out of his chair. They were upstairs? Sheesh, he had to hurry! What if they were all gone? He would've gotten all excited for nothing! He ignored the fact that Kyandesu reminded him of the Pokemon Eggs as if he was a little kid and rushed upstairs.
Once he was at the top of the stairs, Denkou could see this was the store portion of the building. Several different items were on display, most likely for sale. Denkou saw another girl - a strangely familar one - at the counter, purchasing two eggs. Well, he had come to the right place! But, what if their were no eggs left? He wouldn't be too pleased with that.
" Neh, uhm... Excuse me, are there any Pokemon Eggs left? "
Denkou questioned as he approached the counter. He didn't want to get in the girl's way, but he really wanted an egg! His eyes scanned around for any eggs on display, but he couldn't find any...

"Yup. We've got plenty of 'em." Said the woman behind the counter, chewing on a piece of straw. She looked a bit bored, staring at Denkou as she waited for him to respond. "How many would you like?"

Jenna accepted her pokeballs, breathing a sigh of relief. The nurse’s speech had confused her, but she did hear one thing right- her pokemon were okay. She really hadn’t thought that a few cracks would be so severe that Squirt’s shell would have to be replaced! Couldn’t the fractures be filled in with cement or something? Well, at least that was over. Clipping her pokeballs to her belt, she turned and walked away from the counter.
Now, where was she supposed to sleep? The morph had never noticed any rooms in a pokemon centre other than the main room, the mart and the back room. After a moment, she discovered a long hallway with promising doors lined along it. She figured that she could just take an empty room for the night, and tried the first door. Locked. The next door was also locked. Growing weary, she decided to try the last door; surely it would be open, if everybody tried the first doors first?
Fortunately, this one was open. Jenna found herself in a small room with a bed, nightstand and chair. Well, for one night, this would do. Collapsing onto the bed, she was out in an instant.
---
Early the next morning, Jenna was ready to go. Energized, she quietly exited her room and hurried toward the pokemon centre’s exit. Through the glass doors she could tell that it was still dark outside. Excellent! She would be able to get to the next town by night time, she figured. Grinning, she left the centre and continued on to route two.

Denkou grinned, but that expression quickly faded. He thought about the dream team he wanted to have, and realized it would take him longer to get those Pokemon if he bought an egg. But, then again, he could hatch a rare Pokemon from the egg?
" Hmm, thanks. Actually, I think I'm going to pass on the egg. However, can I sell my Rare Candy? "
Denkou questioned, pulling out the small candy from his backpack. Sure, it could make a Pokemon gain a level, but at the moment, it wouldn't make a difference. Right now, he just needed more money.
He glanced at the price behind the clerk, wondering how much Rare Candies usually cost. They were 1500 kp; wouldn't that mean he'd get 750kp back? Well, he'd ask just to make sure. He didn't want to rush to any conclusions, and get his hopes up.
Denkou hoped Kyandesu wasn't getting too impatient with him. She'd be surprised that he didn't show up with an egg. However, soon he'd show up with a rare Pokemon that he bought from another store. The thought of that put a smile on his face.

"That's strange." The woman behind the counter said, scratching her chin. "I've never heard of anyone wanting to sell their Rare Candy before. But, okay. Here you go. 750KP. Enjoy your stay, kiddo."
Without further ado, Denkou was handed 750kp, and the woman took his Rare Candy.

Denkou didn't look too pleased by the woman's reaction when he said he wanted to sell his rare candy. Sheesh, was it so wrong to sell something like this? He could just do his training at the Training Gym anyways! But, nonetheless, the woman offered him 750 kp for it. Grinning, he took the kp, then headed downstairs. He wouldn't make a deal about her comments; he didn't think it was weird to sell his Rare Candy.
Once he returned downstairs, he saw his Pokeballs were still sitting on the counter. Had they been healed? They must've, cause he was upstairs for a little while, and with the technology there was to heal a Pokemon, it shouldn't take very long. He grabbed the Pokeballs, then also grabbed the key to his room. Ah, Kyandesu probably already gone off to bed. So, without another though, Denkou made his way to the room Kyandesu rented out to him.
----
Denkou woke up with the bed the following morning. Oh, did it ever feel good to be sleeping in a cozy bed. For once, he woke up with a smile on his face. He slowly got out of his bed, then approached the bathroom tiredly. He glanced at his messy hair, then quickly went to find his backpack. He pulled out the bottle of hair gel he had, and squirted some into his hand. He ran it through his hair until it stood up in the way that he always wore it. Perfect, now he looked ready to face the world!
He left the room with all of his belongings, then looked around for Kyandesu when he reached the main room. She wasn't there, hmm... He placed his key on the counter, then grabbed a crupled up piece of paper from his bag. He wrote a message on the paper, and left it on the counter for his friend to see when she came downstairs. After writing the message, he turned towards the door, leaving without another thought.
" Kyandesu, I've run off ahead to do some training. Catch up with me soon!

A loud yawn had broken from the young lad’s mouth as he stretched his arms. His violet hair was in a fritz. Most of it from sleeping on a local bench considering he made it to the Pokemon Center’s step late last night and couldn’t get in, and the other part was from Chikorita’s barrage of Razor Leaf that woken him up. He had to get a hair cut now for the fact Chikorita had trimmed a few edges as well as left a pile of leaves in his head. This was the worst case of bed head yet!
He had sighed from the thought of the rude awakening while looking down at Chikorita who was nestled in his arms and playing innocent with a rub of it’s head against his chest. He clearly spoiled her a little too much. Undermining that, he had walked slowly to the counter as he remembered that a check up for the Pokemon came first because of their recent battles. He reached out placing the grass type onto the counter as he looked up and gave a gentle palm slap of the bell to call to the attention of a Nurse.

Hearing the ring of the bell, a rather petite nurse looked up from her current mission -- feeding a rowdy Poocheyna his medication. She stared at the rather naughty black dog, then stood and huffed, defeated. She then turned her back on the dog, and went out to the trainer that had run ghe bell. "Hello, how may I help you?" she asked politely.

”Oh…well…”
Xenneth had lived his arms securely to the center of his chest. He had gestured his hand towards Chikorita before resting his palms along the counter. This Nurse seemed cute. It was embarrassing for him to look like this, but he wasn’t good to speaking with girls. If for not the Pikachu costume, that trainer would most likely have him off guard, even if she was tomboyish, he was really mostly dominated by the opposite sex.
”C-can you please give Chikorita a check up and do something for her? She was battling, and I‘ve heard that you heal Pokemon.”
He had noted to her as he tilted his head in a curious gesture. It was as if he probably had it wrong, and maybe even if he had to pay. Though he wasn’t sure he had the money to cover it.
